Account Manager, Account Services Department

In your role as an Account Manager, you’ll help define marketing plans, advertising objectives, campaigns and budgets by consulting and directing agency clients. You’ll be a day-to-day contact for your clients and work with an Account Director and other team members across the agency to do big things for clients while keeping everyone on strategy and on deadline.

Under the guidance of senior-level account team members, our Account Managers help coordinate the planning and execution of projects and campaigns for our clients. You’ll regularly attend meetings and calls with clients, communicate information and objectives with internal teams, and assist in the preparation of proposals and budgets. As you grow in your role, your responsibilities and opportunities will grow too.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates, schedules and expedites agency work in an effective and timely manner
  • Coordinates the planning and execution of advertising activities, including traffic responsibilities, for clients
  • Guides day-to-day development of advertising activities within approved plans; ensures that progressive stages are approved with adequate time to meet schedules
  • Defines marketing plans, advertising objectives, campaigns and budgets by consulting and directing agency clients
  • Takes a leadership role in brand strategy and creative development
  • Coordinates with media, creative, production and the account team on the recommendations for the advertising campaign to be used
  • Consults with creative, media and fellow team members to communicate client objectives and to develop alternative strategic solutions
  • Submits ideas and cost estimates to client for approval
  • Coordinates the development of the evaluation and analysis of advertising activities
  • May negotiate proposal and budget with client, making modifications as necessary and arranging for contract signing
  • Maintains confidentiality while working closely with client regarding all aspects of campaign
  • Serves as liaison between client, production team and creative group as well as business units
  • Reviews and approves client billing
  • Uses market research information to evaluate, adjust and redirect campaign
  • Generates leads and new revenue streams
  • Maintains professional growth and development by continuously seeking to expand knowledge about industry trends and provides insight regarding product development

Ideal Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business or related degree required
  • 2+ years of account management experience required
  • Strong understanding of advertising and marketing disciplines, advertising and sales promotion programs, media advertising, direct mail, trade shows, public relations, point-of-purchase and online advertising strategies

Ideal Skills/Qualifications

  • Computer proficiency including word processing, data entry, spreadsheets and generating reports using standard software applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is a must

Base Salary Range: $55k-$70k
